We've almost reached the halfway point of my list of useful WordPress plugins. Here's my "discovery" on how to optimize the speed of websites on the WordPress CMS.

LiteSpeed Cache is an open source solution and a kind of "link" between our WordPress and LiteSpeed Web Server application. It allows to drastically reduce the loading time of your website.
The technology itself contains many optimization mechanisms, making it an All-in-One solution. LiteSpeed allows you to get the best possible acceleration of a website, and most importantly - without affecting the user experience.
With this plugin we can run most of the mechanisms needed to get very good results in Google PageSpeed Insight or Google Audits. It also speeds up the page loading time, which is also important for search engines.
The possibilities this module gives us include:
Server-Level Cache,
image optimization (including generating .webp versions and compressing graphics),
minification of CSS, JavaScript or HTML files,
combining CSS and JavaScript files,
HTTP/2 support,
support for CDNs (including Cloudflare),
browser cache support,
delayed loading (lazy loading) of graphics,
database optimization.
This solution works only on servers that have been equipped with the above-mentioned application by administrators. If your server does not support LS (LiteSpeed), you can use plugins such as: Autoptimize, WP Fastest Cache, a3 Lazy Load, WEBP Express or similar.
Additionally, LS is fully compatible with the rest of the plugins I use, such as WooCommece , ContactForm 7 , Yoast SEO and WPML .

WPML
How often has it happened to you that your client wanted to implement more language versions on the website at a low cost? In such situations, my favorite plugin for creating multilingual websites, WPML - WordPress Multilingual Plugin, comes to the rescue .

Yes and here I have to repeat myself - compatibility! The plugin is 100% compatible with other WordPress plugins I use.

accessMate
I am perfectly aware of how important digital accessibility is to a cash app database website. In Poland alone, there are over 3 million people with legally recognized disabilities. In reality, there may be twice as many.

That is why I believe that a WordPress site (just like any other system) should be tailored to such people. We can adapt the template itself or choose the right plugin. In the case of digital accessibility, for me there is only one choice - accessMate - our own plugin for WordPress.
Of course, there are other plugins, but the accessMate plugin was created by us - the developers of Agencja KS - to adapt the user interface components to the needs of people with disabilities. Importantly, it is compliant with the WCAG 2.1 guidelines, which define how we should create websites to be accessible to everyone.
The plugin creates an accessibility widget that allows people with special needs to change the appearance of pages using 14 settings or pre-made profiles.

cookieMate
Another very important thing (especially when we are legally obliged to do it) is the handling of the infamous "cookies".

Google has also recently introduced new requirements for the so-called Consent Mode. A site without a properly implemented Consent Mode will be deprived of the ability to run remarketing campaigns on Google, and conversion tracking will be blocked. In turn, improper management of the installation of tracking codes exposes site owners to legal consequences.
Our proprietary cookieMate plugin is responsible for managing consents for marketing and statistical purposes. It also supports the administration of tags and scripts (depending on user settings), and correctly activates Consent Mode in Google tools.

WP Mail SMTP
Who among us doesn't complain about SPAM? Exactly... Everyone sooner or later gets tired of mailboxes filled with unnecessary, and even worse, unwanted emails.

The problem of SPAM is not just a problem for users. It is also faced by the largest email service providers.
In early 2024, companies like Google and Yahoo introduced further restrictions on email security. Unfortunately, setting up DKIM, DMARC, and SPF alone is not enough. Problems with delivering messages from contact forms on WordPress sites may still occur. Why?
More and more hosting companies (I would even venture to say that most hosting companies on the market) require SMTP authorization in order to send emails correctly.
Here I successfully use the WP Mail SMTP plugin. This plugin allows you to configure SMTP authorization, which in most cases allows you to avoid problems with sending messages via the WordPress CMS.

WebP Express
Currently, probably no developer can imagine a website without using the "new" optimal graphic format, which is WebP.

I also use the benefits of this format in my projects. It gives us a very good quality to file size ratio, which helps to optimize the website for its loading speed. Unfortunately, converting traditional graphic files to the .webp format is not easy for non-technical people.
Personally, I would have a big problem instructing a client to upload only .webp files to a website, much less instructing them on how to obtain them. That is why in many cases I use a kind of compromise. That compromise is using the free WebP Express plugin.
Thanks to this plugin, graphic files are automatically converted to the appropriate format, and customers do not have to pay attention to the format of the file placed on their website.

Summary
As you can see, WordPress combined with the right tools in the form of the plugins above and well-written code can be a great tool if you want to have an SEO-optimized website with speed that outperforms any other CMS-based website you've seen so far.
Remember!
Low-quality plugins and unnecessary installed and disabled plugins can lower the security of your site, and also create the risk of a potential "code hole" that exposes your site to hackers. They also create a lot of unnecessary code that slows down your site. So only use trusted plugins that you really need!
