What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a business in this industry?

Don't rush anything. There are plenty of "gurus" and experts suggesting this or that, but if you want to build an honest, serious, and healthy hygiene business, it will take a long time, a lot of patience, and a lot of learning.

In what ways does your brand strive to have a positive impact on the communities where it operates?
In everything we do, there is a nod to Mother Nature, Father Time, and the living beings we share space with. Using recycled goods, minimal waste, and natural ingredients, we are confident that we are helping, not hiring, our communities.

Can you please write a few lines about your current platform you are using (Shopify, Woocommerce, etc.) What are the advantages and disadvantages of using it?
We've only been on Shopify physician data for the past two years. I'm leaving Squarespace with a focus on transitioning from brand to business - Shopify offers much more of what we need and less fluff and distractions.

It was a solid platform, if a little limiting if you don't know a goofy thing or two.

Looking to the future, what innovations or expansions can we expect from your brand?
In 2024, we will focus on leveraging our expertise and knowledge in building brands and products. We are shifting our focus a little bit to growing our B2B side of things.

What do you think the ideal version of success in online business looks like?
This is a reality I struggle with almost every day. While we want to grow into a foundation for those who appreciate our merchandise, we also want to expose our alternative soap and products to those who need it most.


The ideal version of success looks like catering to and taking care of our current customer base while ensuring it is a piece of cake that they can share and tell others about ILS and the wonders our natural products can do for them.

What do you fear most in the digital market?
Generally speaking, I'm not afraid - but I often wonder what would happen if people moved away from e-commerce and focused more on bricks and mortar.

After all, you can't feel the goodness through a screen.

What aspect of your leadership style do you think needs improvement?
I need some serious help with delegation and trusting the process. This has been one of the biggest challenges since building a team and running ILS with a group of like-minded people rather than going solo with the help of friends.

What quality do you consider the most demanding in business partners or competitors?
Luckily for me, I was blessed with the perfect business partner. We started out as friends, became roommates, and were blessed with an incredible friendship. This has fostered a truly strong business relationship that has allowed us to thrive as individuals and partners in the foam industry.

Which entrepreneur in the online space do you admire the most?
That's a tricky question; the online business space is very chaotic in my opinion. More scams than people actually doing it.


Huge fan of the Hormozis. I love Khe Ky's style of work and Tim Ferris' ideas.

What was your most significant investment in your online business?
Month after month, our biggest investment is our products. We take no shortcuts, cut no corners, and ensure our goods are reliable, consistent, and true to the test.

What aspect of your company's public image would you like to improve?
This year we have been experimenting with “removing the veil” and sharing a more personal side of the people who run and operate ILS. I am a shy person by nature and quite private.

I would like to maintain the closeness created with our community, but be less “public” if that makes sense.
