So what is really behind the elements of a logo? What is the basic composition of a logo?
The logo consists of 3 standard units:
Signet ring — a graphic part representing an element characteristic of the brand.
Logotype — text part of the logo, company/product name.
Slogan/Tagline - the verbal part of the logo, an optional company betting database slogan or signature that draws attention to a specific feature of the company.
Logo components are unfortunately often approached as if they were synonyms for the same concept. What are the relationships between the individual components of a logo? Logo vs. logotype — what is the difference between them?
A logotype is a component of a logo and every logotype can be a logo, but not every logo is a logotype.
The best example is Coca-Cola , whose logo consists entirely of the logotype.
