That is why today I invite you to reflect

When we have a physical business, we may think that taking care of the appearance of the premises and the attention of the clients who visit us in person is enough. The truth is that in the digital age this is no longer enough.

on the need for physical businesses to have a digital presence, to increase the visibility of the establishment and reach more customers.

To give you an idea: you, like any of us, probably search on Google or any other similar search engine when you want to find a product or service.

Ideally, when a potential customer searches for the products or services your business offers, they can easily find it in the search results and see all the information they need to visit your site. That is the importance of a well-optimized digital presence.

Data reveals that the top 3 positions on Google account for more than 60% of the total search volume.

I'll share with you an example that is based on a common situation. One day you're driving somewhere in your city and it's time to take a medicine that you can't put off and you realize hong kong mobile phone number data that you forgot it at home! The normal way to act is to search on your cell phone for “Pharmacy near me” or simply “Pharmacy.” Search engines are designed to detect that it is a local search intention and will show you a list of results with information about each nearby pharmacy: the distance, the hours or if it is open at that time, the phone number and the route to follow to get there.

With this situation, which applies to other types of businesses, we can see how establishments that appear on the list and display useful information are more likely to receive visits. These are consumers who have a genuine interest or need for what the business offers. Achieving this visibility is one of the objectives of an SEO optimization or web positioning strategy.

My interest in sharing this here, among entrepreneurs, arose when, reviewing the Entrepreneurship X-ray conducted by ASEM, I noticed that more than a quarter of those interviewed (26%) said they had a digital presence just 1 or 2 years ago and that, of all those interviewed, only 15% use search engines as a channel to promote their products or services.

From my point of view as an SEO specialist, this means a sea of opportunities that entrepreneurs miss because they are not aware of the advantages that web positioning has for businesses. And, as we observed in the previous example, well-worked organic traffic can be one of the channels with the best return on investment in the long term.

However, once we, as entrepreneurs, become more involved in the use of digital SEO tools, understand what SEO is for and use it to our advantage, we will be able to add competitiveness to our business, claiming our “slice of the pie”, which is currently held by the competition that has worked on its digital presence.
