Facebook launches its first cryptocurrency

A few days ago, Facebook announced that it would begin mass producing a cryptocurrency , which is called “Libra” and has gained great popularity today.

However, many still wonder what this cryptocurrency has that the others don't, why it is so special and if it represents any change in the world of digital technology, this fact will be mentioned below:


How does this cryptocurrency work?
The Libra, as specified by Facebook's communication managers , will be operating through a virtual wallet belonging to this same company known as "Calibra" .

In the latter, a type of wallet will be paytm data created, where money transactions can be made in real time and through which this cryptocurrency can be sent or received.

Something really important to take into consideration is that to have an account in “Calibra” you must be a Facebook client and also have some legal certification document.

It is important to include that said cryptocurrency will be managed by an autonomous company called “Libra Association” made up of digital sub-companies, among which Mastercard, PayPal, eBay, Uber, Spotify and Vodafone stand out .

However, others such as Lyft, Mercado Libre and even Booking Holding have been added to the subsidiary.

In fact, the latter acquired shares in the association for a price of more than 10 million dollars , something that will create positive consequences for the price of the cryptocurrency.

However, its creation is to execute purchase-sale transactions officially for Facebook, since with the help of cryptocurrency a much more universal payment method than the one that already exists can be created.
