Rule 7. Appeal Record
When you file a motion to appeal, you will produce the original trial record, including trial transcripts, documents, etc. Rule 7 allows the parties to agree on what will be presented in the appeal in lieu of any part of that record. This means that if you have new evidence you wish to introduce, you can expressly share it with the other party. If they agree to include it, you can sign an agreement that the relevant facts will be discussed outside of the original record.
