Meta hasn't said anything about this, but since this is the first beta to mention newsletters, it's likely that testing will take place some time from now. There's also no guarantee that WhatsApp will release newsletters as a finished product.

According to research by analytics firm Rival IQ, Instagram benefits of sms marketing engagement rates have dropped dramatically for brands. The study analyzed Instagram activity for 2,100 businesses across 14 industries in 2022, finding an average engagement rate, calculated per post on the number of followers, of 0.47% — 30% less than the previous year.
The same report also shows that “the other social network” , TikTok, has an average engagement rate of 5.69%.
A big difference, which shows once again that TikTok is not just a flash in the pan in the social media landscape. If used strategically, in fact, it can bring excellent results for companies and not only for those who target Generation Z.
According to the same research, Reels work particularly well for certain sectors such as:
retail,
health and beauty,
food and beverage.
This format has overshadowed the popularity of carousels, which until recently were the most popular post type among users.
