Customers demand that companies better manage waste and care for biodiversity.
Sustainability in companies has its rewards: customer trust and increased company value. At least, this is reflected in the latest Kantar Sustainability BrandZ index , which shows that the most sustainable brands have increased their value by 31% compared to 2021.

Sustainability in companies, a responsibility
Most consumers believe that it is the responsibility of companies to try to solve climate change. In particular, this is the view of 67% of consumers , who believe that companies have a great responsibility in terms of sustainability due to the influence they have on the territory.

61% of customers think that there should be clear certification explaining the environmental or ethical benefits of products . They say that if this type of certification existed, it would influence their purchasing decisions. However, 57% of users do say that it is difficult to know which products are good or bad from an ethical or environmental point of view.

Companies need to consider where and how they can take action on sustainability. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide companies, depending on their sector of activity, with an opportunity to make the changes that consumers demand.
