Reason, or logic, may lead us to believe that customers will always buy the best product. Or that they will hire the best service.

The one with the best features or functionalities.

This can lead us to try to be the best, have more features, better materials, etc.

Before you start working on all the possible improvements to your product, think:

► Do these features fit my target customer?
It seems obvious but it isn't always!

What the target customer needs is not always really analyzed.

And many other times it is impossible to know because there are multiple target customers with multiple needs.

Even asking directly may not be helpful because many customers will not respond, and many others may respond that they are interested in something, so they don't actually plan to pay.

There are many variables!

► Also, everything you do can be copied
This is an unavoidable reality. Anything you can improve in your product can be copied, if you are interested.

That is to say, if once the development has been completed your competition sees that it is an interesting improvement, they may decide to copy it.

It will take more or less time, but everything is possible to copy.

Everything except a few things. But we'll see that later.
