The formula for success for Asincar's digital transformation in the meat sector

Post by Aklima@3 »

Achieving a full digital transformation. This has been one of the main objectives pursued by Asincar , the Association for Research in Meat Industries of the Principality of Asturias, when it asked us for help.

Months later, they can say that they are on the right track to achieve digital transformation in industry 4.0 and the development of new products that adapt to consumer needs and the requirements of the current market.

In this article you will learn in detail how they have achieved this with the help of Seresco as a Sage partner.

A transition stage towards digital transformation
When Asincar contacted us, they explained that the meat sector is facing constant evolution, driven by the changes triggered by the global pandemic. In addition, this sector is particularly impacted by globalization and the growing influence of China as a world power.

In this scenario, the association has dedicated itself to promoting innovation, flexibility and sustainability , crucial aspects today. What has been its strategy to achieve this? The answer lies in the implementation of an ERP.

The key, a business management ERP
In order to help them, we decided to combine two cloud software solutions that Asincar could use in the cloud. These are Sage X3 and Datafood 4.0.

First of all, we chose Sage X3 because of its comprehensive functionality , which we believe would perfectly meet Asincar's demands. Sage X3 is a business management ERP system designed to efficiently solve any need related to company administration. Its wide range of features and capabilities ensures effective management of business processes and better control in decision making.

Sage X3 also contributes to the company's digital telecommunications email list transformation due to its strong commitment to technological evolution and adapting to legal regulations, so companies do not have to worry in this regard either.

When we proposed this solution to Asincar, the organisation opted for very specific processes. Firstly, some indicators related to the sector's own management were implemented. Among them, the management and characterisation of articles of manufacture, sensory or food quality stand out.

We sensorize the Asincar pilot plant
The first project with which we launched this initiative was the sensorisation of the Asincar pilot plant. What was needed in this area was to manage and monitor the meat production processes carried out in this plant for research and training purposes for professionals.

The same was done with a demonstration centre for companies in the sector that wanted to advance in their digital transformation process.

The project also included the processing of information collected and stored in real time. This was done using ERP processes and sensors in the plant. The software provided a model generator to apply data analysis techniques in order to obtain information that would allow optimizing certain plant processes.
