GDPR and LOPD: Are they compatible?

Is the self-employed worker obliged to comply with the regulations?
Yes . As long as you collect and/or store data from European Union citizens.
How to comply with the new regulations?
In order to comply with the regulations, we need to update our website, store or blog to comply with several principles.
Responsibility : With this principle we will be affirming that our website has taken the necessary measures to process the personal data required by the new regulations.
Data protection : We affirm that since the creation of the business or service, the regulations in force at that time have been complied with.
Transparency : Legal texts such as legal notices or privacy policies must be more complete, easier to read and understand with the new regulations.
* All websites and online stores that we create comply with the regulations in force at the time of creation of the website.

How to apply the regulations on our website?
All information should be arranged in layers. The most relevant information will be displayed in the first layer, and the full texts will be displayed in the second layer on another website.

Cookie Policy
Terms of use (In the case of having an online store)
Add the following information to all contact forms, pages with comments or subscription forms (newsletter):
An informative clause as a summary (first layer)
Link to the privacy policy page (second layer)
Checkbox (checkbox) indicating that the user agrees to the subscription
Update the footer of the website to display links to the different legal texts:

Sanctions
In article 83 of the same we can see that it establishes the following administrative fines :
Up to a maximum of €2,000,000
A maximum of 4% of the total annual turnover of the previous financial year
As you can see, it is worth updating your website to avoid a big scare that could ruin your business.
