Altiria, a company focused on mobile services and applications, has developed a new comprehensive two-way communication platform with citizens via mobile messaging (SMS and MMS) for the Gran Canaria Island Council.
Recognizing the importance of close communication between the government and citizens, as well as the value of continuous and rapid information, the Cabildo has used SMS for several years as a valuable direct communication channel with the residents of Gran Canaria.
Thanks to the Altiria platform, the Cabildo now has a more comprehensive system that allows it to receive SMS messages sent by citizens and manage automatic response messages, manage groups, and schedule messages. It also includes a comprehensive statistics module. MMS sending has even been implemented to deliver multimedia content to citizens.
Citizens can sign up for this service, which allows them to receive messages with information and news related to the Gran Canaria Island Council on their mobile phones. This means they can receive free news about public employment offers, subsidies, grants, events, and other activities of the Island Council. The Citizen Information and Assistance Office (OIAC) is responsible for managing this service.
Signing up is very simple, just send a mobile text message with the croatia phone number data word CABILDOGC to 928100900. (The user will only pay for the registration message, as the rest of the information will be received free of charge. The cost of the registration message is the one established by the operator for a standard text message, approximately €0.15.)
More information at the Gran Canaria Council .
