In this interview, Zavala also explains the main objective of the specialization, as well as the advantages that the hybrid modality offers to students.

The new edition of the PMBOK Guide (Project Management Body of Knowledge) will be available soon. What benefits do you think it will bring to professionals in the field?

The new edition of the PMBOK guide will allow the project management standard to focus on Principles instead of Processes and, therefore, will be very helpful for those who manage any project, because instead of explaining the processes in detail, the new guide will allow project management to be carried out in a simpler way.

The conference “Moving Forward: The PM² Advantage” took place from November 30th to December 2nd. What do you think about the PM² project methodology?

The PM 2 methodology is very practical, easy to apply and very flexible. It is a project management methodology developed by the European Commission and is a methodology at the service of the project. It provides a common language for project participants and clearly stipulates the various roles and responsibilities, which avoids conflicts and inefficiencies.

What shortcomings do you think currently exist in project management?

Highly trained and prepared professionals are required to face the challenge of project management. Professionals who know the rules of management, who plan based on reality, who know the scope of the projects and their evolution during their duration, who have an adequate dialogue with clients and have the necessary elements to be leaders within the project.

Analyzing the risks of a project is a necessary factor for successful project execution. What steps are essential in this analysis?

According to the PMBOK, risk management in a project begins with risk management planning, risk identification, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, risk response planning, and risk monitoring and control.

What certification would you recommend for further training in project management?

A great option, which UNINI strengthens through various agreements, is the International Project Management Association (IPMA), which has a scope as good as the Project Management Professional (PMP).

The Project Design and Management specialization at UNINI Mexico and UNEATLANTICO is offered in a blended learning mode. What advantages does this model offer to students?

The blended learning model has the advantage of being highly flexible since the student can progress at his or her own pace. The campus and the availability of the tools available are available 24/7 during their training. In addition, the student's travel is limited, which is a huge benefit in our time of health restrictions. The student can have contact with the tutors asynchronously at the times they wish and synchronously through the institution's platform,
