The energy transition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 often results in higher costs for businesses and households. Do INSEE's price indicators accurately reflect this increase? The following analysis suggests that the measurement problem in the price index posed by the ban on combustion-engine vehicles from 2035 will ultimately be limited in scope.
