Hierarchical axis by default

One of the most useful features of Power BI Cartesian charts is the option to visualize multiple categorical fields on a hierarchical x-axis.
The grouped x-axis is a neat way to add an morocco mobile database dimension to the data in your charts, especially when dealing with specific subcategories for individual category fields or sequential subcategories such as more granular dates.
A different way of visualizing these additional dimensions, such as using a legend or small multiples, would not be as clear as the hierarchical x-axis.
Prior to this version, however, formatting a chart to use the hierarchical x-axis was a multi-step process that involved:
adding a new field to the X-axis field and knowing how to expand the visual to the next level, or else nothing would change,
disabling the option to concatenate labels in the formatting pane, which would often still result in nothing happening because the user also needed to:
Sort the visual by axis fields instead of value fields, otherwise categories and subcategories will not be grouped correctly.
This month, we’ve adjusted some behaviors to ensure that the hierarchy axis is automatically enabled when a user drags multiple fields to the x-axis field of charts that support the feature. We’ve disabled the option to concatenate labels by default in the formatting pane, we’ll automatically expand charts to the bottom of their hierarchy when you add fields to the x-axis field, and we’ll also sort by category by default once you drill down. Here’s a quick table to show the exact changes in logic:
