I need to create a newsletter on my blog using GetResponse, can you explain how to do it? Can I use the email created during the site setup? What about the privacy policy?
For integration with your site you can use the free plugin created by GetResponse . For privacy policy it is always better to hear the opinion of a lawyer. I also suggest you take a look at the Iubenda service .

What do you recommend for backup?

Personally, I have always found UpdraftPlus to be good. HERE you can find an article of mine in which I also point out other alternatives.

So on SiteGround Hosting you recommend using ONLY their cache?

Usually it is more than enough in most cases. If you want something more, the WP Rocket plugin is a great easy to use solution that allows you to obtain good results. HERE you can find a more in-depth analysis.

What size do you recommend for images?

It depends on the theme you use and therefore on the size of the various content areas. It is impossible to answer this question with a precise size of the images. Furthermore, in addition to the size, the aspect ratio of the images is very important, that is, the ratio between the width and the height of an image.

Can you briefly explain what “Heartbeat” is and whether it should be replaced with a cronjob?

Heartbeat is a WordPress API that, in simple terms, allows communication between the client (browser) and the server when a user is in the admin area of a WordPress site. You can limit the frequency of these calls using a plugin like Heartbeat Control . Cronjobs are another thing, and in this case you could replace WP_CRON with a cronjob run by the server.

A question about the “users” section. I see 574, all subscribers. What does that mean?

Most likely you have left the option to register on your site enabled in your site's general settings.

On the server side, what are the preliminary and most important operations to carry out when starting to create a new WordPress site?

It depends. If you use a managed hosting plan like SiteGround there isn't much you can/need to do. On the other hand, if you install WordPress on a server you have full control over there may be a lot of optimization work to do.

If I choose from wordpress.org and then I have to customize my theme, are there any tutorials in Italian that you suggest?

Unfortunately, depending on the theme you choose, the procedures may be different. Some themes can be customized conveniently from the WordPress interface. For others, however, you always need to get your hands on the code.

If I already have a site with a theme and I want to change it, what are the risks in uploading another theme?

It depends on the theme. For some you risk nothing. With other themes you can spend hours rebuilding everything.

In the “site language” setting, is there a possibility to choose two languages, in case of a bilingual site?

Please note that the site language setting is not a function to manage a site in multiple languages. For that you need specific plugins such as WPML or Polylang.
