When creating or editing images for your landing pages, you should always keep page performance in mind.

4. Determining image sizes
The biggest performance issue will be image size. A lot of people just upload 2000x2000px images and use HTML tags to insert the 200x200px they want into the page. What they don't know is that the browser downloads the 2000x2000px image and then scales it down to 200x200px, which effectively increases page load speed by 10x.

As a conclusion, you should make sure that the image dimensions correspond to what you will see on the page.

Open a file in Pixlr Editor, then click on image and select image size. A window will open asking for parameters for resizing the image. Make sure “Constrain proportions” is selected, otherwise your image may look squashed.
After you have done all the operations you need, click on file->save and save the image to your computer.

6. Social Media Sizing
When you resize images, you should make sure they are optimized for social media.
Each social network has its own image size standards. For example:
For Vkontakte it is 500x700px
Facebook 600x315px
Twitter simply recommends that the image be larger than 60x60
These are the images that the user will see in social networks when someone shares them.
This may lead to the need to create several copies of images with different sizes for each social network.

7. Image compression.
