In the week in which World Social Network Day was celebrated , WIKO , a European smartphone company , wanted to understand how young Portuguese people use social networks and why they mostly use them.
Through a survey on its social networks, the brand discovered that 75% of these young people created their first profile on social networks under the age of 16 (minimum age proposed by the Portuguese government for denmark email list using social networks without family supervision) and that only 8% did so after the age of 20 .

Of these respondents, 83% visit social networking sites several times a day , 44% also listen to music when accessing social media and 59% have joined social media to keep in touch with people who are far away .
