Five tips for writing engaging content

Post by kumartk »

Content is a fundamental part of inbound strategy : we create interesting content to attract our audience and convert those visitors into leads . Asking yourself these five questions and reflecting on your answers before you start producing it can help you create exceptional content.

Is your content easy to find?
The content you create should be based on keywords . These define the topic you are going to write about and will be the ones your prospects will use to find you. That is why it is so important to identify them. They will take your content to your potential clients.

To find your keywords, the first thing you should do is pay attention to your buyer persona: their interests, concerns... What they need and how they search for it. Also check what your competition is doing , it can help you find your own keywords. They don't have to be the same ones, using keywords that are widely used in your sector may not be a good idea, sometimes keywords that are less used but that are better suited to your business are the best option.

Is it easily readable?
The 'look' of the content is important: if your prospect finds a long, tedious text, greece phone number list he or she will probably not even start reading it, or will quickly get tired of it and not finish it. Write short paragraphs and separate them visually: use bullets or separate sections. Also include images and photographs to make the text lighter and easier to read.

Is this clear?
To choose a topic to write about, it is important to know our buyer persona , know at what stage of their buyer's journey we want to impact them, and adjust our content to that journey. The topic we want to talk about may be complex or use specific terminology. In this case, we must explain the meaning of those terms and make the text clear to our buyer persona .

We also have to take into account the format we use. There is no ideal format for each content, but there are many different ways we can use to present our information, beyond the classic text with photos: graphics and infographics, audio, videos...

Can it be shared easily?
Getting your content distributed and reaching potential customers is just as important as creating it . As well as spending time distributing it yourself, make it easy for your readers to do so too: include social sharing buttons and adapt your content to the format of the network you're publishing it on, paying attention to the use of hashtags , for example .

Also keep in mind that for content to get more exposure, it must be interesting and provide value , which will encourage your readers to share it.

Does it invite action?
If a piece of content invites action , you can get a lot more out of it. In addition to making it easy to share, there are other ways to invite your prospects to take action: you can include a call to action . The call to action is the first step in the conversion process . It consists of a button or link that seeks to attract visitors to convert them into leads and if used well, you can make the most of it.
