While I think Printify is an excellent POD service, there are plenty of alternatives worth considering. So in the spirit of transparency, here's how Printify stacks up against some of its competitors:

Like Printify, Printful is another well-known POD tool – in fact, Facebook Data if you’ve ever researched different POD companies, there’s a good chance you’ve come across Printful.

Similarly, Printful offers a generous freemium account. However, it only lists 230+ POD products in its catalog, which is much less than Printify’s 800+.

Also, from my own experience, it takes much longer to hear back from Printful's customer support team. I heard back from Printify within minutes, while it took hours to get a response from Printful.

It’s also worth noting that you can make more profit with Printify because some of the basic product costs are lower. For example, Printify’s cheapest t-shirt is $5.67, while Printful costs $8.95.

For delivery to the UK (this does not include fulfillment times), you can expect an average delivery time of 6-25 working days for shirts for £3.59 and an additional £1.20 for additional products.

It's also worth noting that Printful offers a warehouse service for your own products, while Printify does not.

Printify primarily bills itself as a print-on-demand platform. In contrast, POD is just one of the many features Sellfy offers. Unlike Printify, Sellfy is a full-fledged eCommerce platform that lets you sell physical and digital products – so it’s a good option if you don’t already have an eCommerce store up and running.

Compared to Printify's 800+ product selection, Sellfy's 100+ seems modest.

Gelato and Printify work in much the same way. That is, you sign up, integrate your store, and then design and import products from Gelato's catalog onto your e-commerce website. Then, when a customer makes a purchase, Gelato prints and ships the order on your behalf.

Gelato works with over 130 manufacturing plants in 32 countries, 17 of which are based in the UK.

Although Gelato doesn't list a specific number of products in their catalogue, at a glance I'd guess it's in the hundreds. That said, it's worth pointing out that not all items are made in all locations. To double-check, you'll need to check the product page for the product you want to modify. Gelato manufactures the product you want to modify in one of their UK manufacturing centres.
