Data has long played a vital role in the success of business initiatives. With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, it has become even more important. However, according to a new study by Salesforce and Tableau, “ State of Data and Analytic ,” one of the biggest barriers to realizing the full potential of AI is managing data and using it effectively for business needs, according to the Datanami portal.
The report is based on a survey of more than 11,000 technology, analytics, and business leaders from 18 countries to understand how companies are navigating the rapidly changing AI landscape.
According to Salesforce Chief Data argentina mobile database Wendy Batchelder, “The AI revolution is really a data revolution, and a company’s AI strategy is only as strong as its data strategy, which is built on trust.”
A strong data foundation drives AI development
AI is advancing rapidly, and data management teams are feeling the pressure to supply algorithms with high-quality data. Nearly 9 in 10 (87%) IT and analytics leaders believe that data management is becoming a higher priority due to AI advances.
More than nine in ten (91%) business leaders believe that generative AI will benefit their organization, but they are concerned about whether their organization will be able to reap the benefits. Early adopters of generative AI are already seeing positive results, such as increased customer satisfaction. Not surprisingly, some organizations’ early successes have led more than three-quarters of business leaders (77%) to worry that their organization is missing out on the benefits of generative AI.
