The concept is flawless

Post by hasanthouhid0 »

It's not a given that your target audience will appreciate it.
De gustibus non est disputandum , it was said a few years ago.

The meaning of this Latin phrase, updated, would be more or less this:

“Just because you like it doesn’t mean I’ll like it.”

Every move and every word, from when we wake up to when we fall back onto the pillow in chief vp sales marketing officers email list the evening, must be thought out and contextualized.

In this sense, you have to be a bit of a chameleon, a bit of a politician…

We cannot relate to everyone in the same way.

And we can't risk using the wrong way of expressing ourselves.

Even more so in a closed context such as that of a digital community, which is firmly tied to a consolidated communication method and which it expects to always trace.

Penalty: loss of credibility.

If your target and community are made up of people who have always appreciated your communication strategies, changing your method may not be appreciated and could have devastating effects .

Imagine this situation:

You run a history Facebook page and your community is made up of people aged forty-five and up who like your style.

One day, however, you wake up and decide that that status is no longer enough for you.

And then you start publishing a lot of posts oriented towards real time, maybe making parallels between the historical events you usually cover and today's ones.

Result?

First reaction: Shock!!! (Oops, I also dropped a drop of Real Time Marketing).

After that, many will wonder what the hell the page manager thought and why you decided to make those nefarious changes.

Finally, many will abandon the page , annoyed and disappointed by that style that they no longer feel is theirs and that they do not like.

Sure, you may start to attract a new type of target, but the gist remains the same:

You killed your original community because you gave them something they didn't like.

You can cushion the damage with small pages, but if you manage the social image of a major brand, my humble advice is to not venture down unsafe roads.
