When forming and setting current tasks, the manager must understand their status, urgency and importance. There are four types of input assignments. Let's look at them point by point.

Types of tasks

Important long-term

These are large-scale tasks that carry the food and beverage email list highest degree of significance. This includes: entering the top 10 best online stores in the segment, increasing income to fifteen million per month, opening five branches across the country, developing new IT technology.

Everything that is included in this group is planned and scheduled for a long period and with special care, outside of work meetings and conferences. To schedule goals of this kind, a special environment and participants are needed, including high-level specialists (programmers, developers, top managers, marketing director, and others).

Important current

Anything that needs to be done for the continued prosperity of the business and its structure. Their formation includes preliminary planning and processing. Examples include: changing a supplier and courier company, finding a new partner.

Everyday

Includes daily instructions to employees that will lead the company to high results. Usually, everything is determined according to the situation, without plans and processing, for example, communication with clients and ordering goods.

Others

All non-urgent areas, work with which does not affect the company's productivity. Buying a new coffee maker for the office, preparing an event for the team, moving the administrative building to another room.

The importance of setting goals correctly
Some problems seem to be a normal part of work, but this is where their main harm comes in. Many of them are certainly familiar to everyone.

Everyone is spending extra time

Some people mistakenly believe that short, unclear tasks save time, but in reality it’s the other way around: 10 questions take 10 minutes for the performer, 20 for the project manager, and 40 for the client.

Deadlines are missed

The entire project is a chain of tasks and assignments. The start of subsequent stages depends on how much time is spent on the first stage. Because of this, deadlines are shifted, and the work itself is submitted late. There is an option to reduce its quality in order to complete everything according to the original plan, but this is not the wisest way out of the situation.

The importance of setting goals correctly

Payments from clients are delayed

This is a logical conclusion from the previous point. At least, this applies to those who work on a post-payment basis, when money is credited to the account based on results, or on an hourly basis. Transferred later – received finances later.

The client is dissatisfied with the result

Most often, this happens because the contractor does not fully understand what final result is expected of him. As a result, the client refuses the services or asks for some amendments that require additional efforts. Perhaps the task was initially clear, but the wording turned out to be incorrect.

Employees are not using their attention effectively

One famous person often mentioned the phrase: "I am very lazy. I am so lazy that I don't do the same job twice!"

Switching from one task to another several times, we load ourselves twice as much. Imagine that you write an email, then answer a phone call, and then finish writing the text. The pause itself is not so important, unlike the repeated transfer of attention to the activity. According to the results of Western studies, this transfer lasts up to 15 minutes.

As an example: a project manager has defined 10 tasks. During the day, he is asked about each of them for things that might not have happened if all the points had been set correctly at once. As a result, he will be haunted by unnecessary routine throughout the entire working day.
