Pinterest ads have been available in Europe and the US for some time, but as of December 2021, they are not available in Japan.
However, there has been an announcement that the advertising business will begin in Japan in the first half of 2022, and for Japanese accounts, although ad delivery is not possible, the management screen that was previously unavailable is now accessible.
So, I would like to take a look at that management screen and introduce the delivery methods and settings that are available.
When you open a Pinterest business account , you will see "Ads" in the top navigation, and you can access your ad account from there.

Account Structure and Tags
First, we will introduce the account structure and the what is a loan measurement tags that you need to prepare first when using Pinterest ads.
The account structure is basically the same as other advertising platforms, with campaigns at the top level, ad groups below them, and ads below those.
The settings at each level will be described later.

Next, about tags. Tags can be obtained from the "Number of Conversions" on the admin screen, and when you select "Add code to website" from the installation method, the tags will be displayed as shown below.

When it comes to installation, there is a tag type "Pinterest Tag" in GTM, so I think it is easiest to use this.
Basically, just select the tag type "Pinterest Tag" and enter the "Tag ID" in the upper right of the image above. For details , please refer to
this help page

. Also, Pinterest ad tags consist of a base code and an event code, just like Facebook ads. The base code is placed on all pages, and the event code is placed at specific event points such as purchase completion to measure conversions. On

the other hand, it seems that it is not possible to create conversion points by specifying a URL using a base code, as in Facebook ad custom conversions, with Pinterest ads.

The following settings are available for the campaign:

Campaign Objective
Campaign budget type and amount
Campaign Schedule
Therefore, you will need to create a campaign for each purpose.
The purposes of the campaigns available are as follows:

Video views
