What is Funnel Marketing?

I decided to dedicate this post to funnel marketing because in my opinion it is essential for both B2C and B2B companies to implement this strategy in their customer acquisition journey.

A marketing funnel is a tool that describes and plans the customer journey , from the initial stages of discovering your business or product, to the moment of purchase. It represents a funnel model that traces each stage of the journey, guiding the customer to conversion and beyond.

The marketing funnel is compared and represented with a funnel. In fact, the funnel requires that users, step by step, are selected just like it happens with a funnel where only a part of them reaches the conversion.

The marketing funnel theory hypothesizes a series scotland email list of phases that users go through which are:

Awareness : during this phase the lead must rationalize their problem and that there is a product/service (ours) capable of offering a solution to it.
Evaluation : In this phase the user is evaluating our offer and comparing it with the solutions of direct or indirect competitors.
Conversion : this is the moment when the user decides to trust us and proceeds with the purchase of our goods/services
At this point we have reached our sales goal, but we can extend our funnel with some subsequent phases such as:

Loyalty : through a loyalty program that manages reorders, discounts, upselling/cross selling or more simply social interactions in order to build a community
