Prepare your list of potential clients, their phone numbers, and do your research. Then, go to a conference room or another part of the office with your phone. If you are sitting at an empty table, with no distractions, I guarantee you will make calls.

Some reps can’t leave their office. If that’s the case, try turning off Wi-Fi or even blocking certain sites. Do whatever it takes to make calls your only option.

I always use this strategy to combat call anxiety. When you're having trouble colombia number screening answering the phone, find another member of your team and swap leads with them. They'll call 20 of your prospects and you'll call 20 of theirs. If one of your prospects is successful, they'll return the names to you and vice versa.

Since you don’t call your prospects, you’re not as emotionally attached to them. That makes picking up the phone a lot less stressful.

5. Do your homework.
Who wouldn’t be afraid to pick up the phone and call a complete stranger? If you don’t do a little research on a prospect before you call, not only will you have a harder time establishing credibility and having an informed conversation, but you’ll also increase your anxiety.

If you know the prospect’s background, their responsibilities, the details of their business, and the challenges they are likely to face, you will feel much more confident in calling them. Knowledge is strength.

Additionally, being well-prepared transforms your role. Instead of being a pesky telemarketer, you become a subject matter expert with unique perspectives and advice to offer.
