Fitch downgrades Georgia's sovereign credit rating outlook

In December 2024, the international rating agency Fitch downgraded Georgia's outlook. In its updated assessment, Fitch reaffirmed Georgia's sovereign credit rating at "BB". As for the outlook, it was lowered from "stable" to "negative". It is important to note that this was the second change in credit rating expectations in 2024, as Fitch had lowered the rating forecast from "positive" to "stable" in the summer.
