The internship contract , not to be confused with the training and apprenticeship contract, aims to help professionals with a certain level of training to obtain the appropriate professional experience. We are talking about people with a university degree (diploma or degree), intermediate or higher level vocational training, officially recognised equivalent qualifications, or those who have professional certificates that enable them to practice a profession.
For a worker to be able to be hired under this modality, no more than five years must have passed since the completion of the aforementioned studies, or seven years in the case of people with disabilities. However, if it is the first job for young people up to 30 years old , this contract may be used even if more than five or seven years have passed.
Basic characteristics of the work
As we have mentioned, the objective of this contract telecommunications email list is to provide the most appropriate work experience for each profile, so the job position must allow for obtaining professional internships corresponding to the level of studies completed by the worker. This is established by collective or sectoral agreement , determining the levels, categories, groups or positions in which these internship contracts can be included.
If so, the contract may be signed for either full-time or part-time, with the remuneration set out in the collective agreement for these trainees, although in any case it may not be less than 60 or 75% of the salary received by a worker in an equivalent position.
In the case of a part-time contract, the remuneration will be reduced proportionally taking into account the hours worked. In no case may the remuneration be less than the minimum interprofessional wage, except for the adaptation of the same to the working day.
Duration
The duration of an internship contract may not be less than six months or more than two years . In any case, collective or sectoral agreements will determine the duration, in relation to the sector in question or the internship that must be carried out in order to obtain good professional experience .
When the contract does not reach the maximum duration, the parties may establish up to two extensions , but may not in any case exceed the established limit and it must always be verified that the agreement does not make further limitations on the extensions.
This worker may not be rehired for the same position on the basis of the same qualification or any other, whether it be a master's degree, doctorate, etc.
