Types of Inside Sales

Post by joxet11299 »

Inside sales has two different roles: BDR (Business Development Representative) and SDR (Sales Development Representative). To use BDR and SDR effectively, it is important to correctly understand their roles and functions. In this section, we will explain the basic characteristics of BDR and SDR and how they can contribute to your business.

BDR
BDR (Business Development Representative) is an outbound type hungary consumer email list inside salesperson whose main task is to develop new business. The purpose is to create business opportunities for specific target companies. BDR uses various methods such as letters and direct mail to decision makers of companies, sending emails to business card exchanges, and cold calls to main phone numbers. BDR activities involve approaching companies one by one individually, so the selection of target companies is very important. Usually, mid-sized to large companies are targeted, and SDR (Sales Development Representative) focuses on companies that are difficult to acquire. Therefore, BDR plays an important role in developing new customers.

SDR
The characteristic of SDR (Sales Development Representative) is that it adopts an inbound inside sales method. The role of SDR is to take over the leads generated by marketing activities, set up sales negotiations while increasing the purchasing motivation of these leads, and hand them over to field sales. Since SDR targets leads who are already interested in the company's products and services, setting up sales negotiations seems relatively easy. However, if you do not quickly build relationships with leads, the interest of the lead may wane and you may miss a business opportunity. Therefore, SDRs are required to respond flexibly and take quick action according to the lead's situation. The role of SDR is to use email, phone, and various communication tools to lead to high-quality sales negotiations.
