In today's class, I want to show you 7 ways to create DataFrames with Pandas in Python, so that you no longer have problems when generating your DataFrames or need to switch from one format to another.

Installing and Importing Pandas
In the material available for download, you will find the Jupyter Notebook file used in this class, as well as the databases used. It is important that you download it to follow all the steps.

To start working with Pandas , it is important that you have it installed in your Python environment. To install it, simply run the following command in your code editor terminal:

pip install Pandas
Or in Jupyter Notebook, run the following code in one of the cells:

!pip install pandas
Once installed, simply import Pandas with the alias pd:

import pandas as pd
With that, Pandas will be ready to use.

Creating DataFrame from a File
The first way I want to show you is creating a DataFrame from a file on your computer.

The file we are going to use is a database of cereals available on the American market. I obtained this database through the Kaggle website , which has several free databases for download.

This file comes in CSV (Comma-Separated Values) format, which is a common way to store tabular data, and can be read by Pandas using the pd.read_csv() function by passing the file name as an argument.

It is important to note that it is only possible to use the file name because it is in the same folder as my code file. If it were in another folder, it would be necessary to pass the full path.

We store this generated DataFrame inside the df_csv variable , and to make sure it was generated correctly, we can use the head() method , which displays the first five rows present in it.
