How the new labor legislation has affected the types of contracts

The 2022 labour reform has affected the types of employment contracts existing in Spain. Do you know the most important changes? Do you know which contracts have disappeared and which ones currently exist?

Permanent contracts
One of the most relevant aspects of the labour reform is that the permanent contract has no time limit . In addition, it has several subtypes such as the contract for people with disabilities, the senior management contract or the contract for workers in situations of social exclusion, among others.

One of the most important changes in the labour reform is that the period during which contracts can be linked before they become indefinite is limited to 18 months (in 24 months).
