AV-TEST: Kaspersky 100% Efficient for Ransomware

AV-TEST confirms 100 percent effectiveness of three Kaspersky products against ransomware
Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, Kaspersky Small Office Security and Kaspersky Internet Security demonstrated 100 percent effectiveness against ransomware attacks according to detailed assessments of the AV-TEST Advanced Threat Protection Test. In 10 different full-chain attacks, the products did not lose a single user file.

AV-TEST tests
In October 2022, AV-TEST tested 25 products from 17 brands in 10 full-chain attack scenarios targeting ransomware on Windows 11 systems. The techniques of the Emotet ransomware family were used to construct the attacks. Test engineers attributed each of the attacks to stages relative to MITRE ATT&CK and investigated at which stage each of the tested security solutions could detect the attack, block it, and roll back all changes to user data.

Three Kaspersky products participated in the tests, achieving the maximum protection score out of a possible 30 points. Two business security solutions – Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business and Kaspersky Small Office Security – as well as one consumer security solution Kaspersky Internet Security protected user files from all 10 full-chain attacks and received the “Advanced Approved Endpoint Protection” and “Advanced Certified Solution” certificates, respectively.

Kaspersky products demonstrated top-quality protection against complex threats, including ransomware, confirming the success achieved in previous various tests in June-August and November 2021 , as well as in February, April and August 2022 .
