How to add skills on Linkedin?

To add skills to your LinkedIn knowledge and skills section , follow these steps.

1.- Make sure you already have the skills for Linkedin deployed
If they don't appear on your profile, don't worry, all you have to do is add them.

Go to the top of your profile and look for the “ add section ” button. Once you click on it, journalist email database this screen will appear and you just have to choose the “ add skills ” option.

2.- Locate the Knowledge and Skills section
Linkedin usually places it at the end of your professional profile, just before the recommendations.

Once you get there, you will see that there are two buttons a “ + ” and a “ pencil ”

The second one is used to edit all the Linkedin skills you already have at this moment.

Personally, my recommendation is that you start at this point and analyze whether the validations on Linkedin that you have right now are important to you.

Spanish, English, Word, Excel, Power Point and others may be useless, so I would remove them right from the start.

Once you're done, go to the “ + ” and start creating skills and abilities on Linkedin that are related to your professional activity and your profile.

You can enter up to a maximum of 50 and sort them by the criteria that interests you most.

Remember that Linkedin will only “promote” the first 3, so rank them so that the skills and abilities you really want are at the top.

3.- Associate your Linkedin skills with the professional experience section
Not long ago, the social network made a change that has been very significant in the way of seeing and understanding the skills and validations of Linkedin.

This change involved associating the skills you have created with the experience section on Linkedin , so that you can segment each competency or skill and the job positions in which you have deployed it.

By making them all visible and grouped by this segmentation, you can now see and understand LinkedIn's knowledge and skills much better than before.
