The people, the diversity and impact that our platforms have, seeing the feedback as participants move forward, gain new confidence and improve themselves is priceless.
I consider it an incredible blessing to be surrounded by people who put a piece of themselves and their heart into our company, and it is because of them that I enjoy it all the more. Having a team of heartthrobs and surrounding myself with great people (with whom we are not afraid to sometimes "clear our stomachs") is the biggest benefit for me.
Laba operates in multiple countries, which also means online meetings. How would you encourage Czech companies to be more receptive to working online?
I think that most companies are now more online, although sometimes I am still iceland phone number data surprised by the way some of the largest companies in our country are managed (some still don't use SharePoint and send Excel files via email). I think there is a big difference between an established company with many years of history and a bunch of heartthrobs who just want to make a mark on the world (us).
Sometimes we have a lot of meetings and it's difficult to keep up with work at the same time. I definitely see room for us to reduce it, for example, a few weeks ago I had an average of 37 hours a week in meetings, which is simply too much even for a CEO. At the same time, the fact that everything can be resolved online without having to go somewhere for work is a huge benefit. But again, it's all about balance.
I would recommend that companies consider whether it would be better to give employees more freedom to work from home sometimes, to be a little more flexible. This will open up a much larger talent base for them, and I dare say that employees will also be more loyal and satisfied.
Another hot topic is work-life balance. As a CEO, do you manage to maintain a balance between your personal and professional life? What do you do to recharge your batteries?
I've been doing a little better in the last six months, but I still struggle a lot with it. An important aspect is personal life and leisure activities. And again - already mentioned several times - balance.
I try not to work in the evenings and on weekends and after work to really switch off my mind. But again, it's not always possible. Nature is very important to me, so I recharge my batteries on trips or walks in the forest. It doesn't help that my work really fulfills me, I really enjoy self-realization, which makes it all the more difficult to let go of it sometimes.
