Visuals should support companies' goals and strategy

Post by sharminakter »

I'm a pretty visual person myself and graphic design plays a big role in my purchasing decisions, for example. Sometimes I buy unfamiliar products from a store just because the packaging looks nice and I'm hardly the only one, as people unconsciously gravitate towards visually appealing things. The topic has also been discussed in our podcast episode on differentiating factors . People also find visually clear websites more functional, although this is not always the case.

Your company's visual identity can be just about looking good, but that's rarely enough in the long run. At its best, visual design creates much more than just an attractive look - it can help you communicate your company's values, for example.

The purpose of visual design is to bring out your brand malaysia phone data personality, i.e. what kind of image or feeling you want to evoke in the customer and to clarify communication through, for example, colors, fonts, graphic elements and illustrations. Color choices, among other things, can immediately change the mood. For example, the brand color of Foodin, which manufactures and imports organic products , green immediately refers to environmental friendliness and supports their mission “Better food for a better tomorrow”.

All visual choices also affect the user experience of websites, for example. Are things easy to find, are important functions distinguished, and are messages easily visible? Visual design can influence people's behavior and, through this, the effectiveness of marketing.

At Suomen Digimarkkinoinni, we do everything based on the MRACE® model , and next I will explain how visual design supports every stage of the model.

Visual design in MRACE® model
Visual design affects every step in the MRACE® model , from reaching the customer to engaging them. Through your visual identity, you influence, for example, the first impression you give your customers about your company and whether they are interested in hearing more. It is especially important that the identity speaks to the desired target groups and supports your company's strategy.
